Backward......

My mission time was delayed today as I scheduled a desperately needed haircut for 10 this morning. Thom ran errands and had his hair chopped off as well.

Lunch together then the afternoon at Miracle Hill with Becky.

Divot and Nugget are not leash dogs but we hooked on their collars and attached the leads to take them for a walk this evening. We sure do miss those strolls in the woods where they followed the path and ran free! They did fine and seemed to enjoy the outing although we kept it to only a mile or so.

Mets game for the evening...looks like a win but I'm on my way to bed and may be asleep before the game concludes.

Thank You Lord for a good day....

Just Another Trip......

My Friday babysitting was swapped out for Monday this week so I was back at Janice's by 10 a.m.. Added  Brian and Emmy to the mix after lunch and spent the time cooling off in the neighborhood pool with the four kiddies. Finished the day with a visit to Dairy Queen for a special treat.

Prayed my way home through heavy rain and the threat of severe storms. Praising the Lord for safe travel!

A relaxing night. Full day to come....

Non-Traditional......

For the first time in many years we did not have the entire family here to share a lively Father's Day. Several factors contributed to this change and although it has always been a hectic and exhausting day I missed the kids and the chaos!

After service we spent a relatively quiet day in Gastonia with my dad, Steve, Janice and the little ones as well as Stefanie. My mother prepared an array of treats and we all contributed to the days eats. Mostly just chatted with a few spurts of paddle ball and baseball thrown in. Way too hot for much more (and unfortunately my dad can't handle the air conditioning so it was toasty both indoors and out).

Thanking the Lord for the blessing of a wonderful, Godly husband who has shown himself to be an amazing father and role model to our children and grandchildren.....

Made It To Saturday......

After a few days at Camp Carney I headed up the road to Gastonia with the kids on Thursday morning. We met their mom for lunch and spent the afternoon back at the house with friends visiting.

Sweet evening catching up on life with Stefanie , an over night stay and morning with the Tarantinos. The kids set off for laser tag in Charlotte and I set off for home. Cleaning and baking was the order of the afternoon at the house.....exhausted and slept till 9:00 this morning!

Love all that special time to share with the grands unencumbered by parents.

Busy day ahead......

Silence......

Just a moment or two to catch up. Been so very busy.

The Kahns and Tarantinos visited over the weekend and Thom finally returned from his golf trip on Sunday night. Fun times.

Brian and Emily have been staying here with us since then to avoid alone time at home now that mom is working summers. We have been well occupied building Boomer a new dog house, swimming, playing games, crafting and boating. Miss our walks in the woods though!

Good days.....

Travel Woes.....

I was due at Janice's at 12:30 for my weekly date with Brady but early morning events moved my departure time to 7:50. An early call from Stefanie's neighbor advised me that she had gotten locked out of the house and much to her dismay, the only person with a door key was me.....70 miles away! So.....quick shower and I was on the road. Of course our luck continued to be bad as an accident on I85 left me sitting in traffic for 45 minutes resulting in it becoming an impossibility for her to get to work (she was still in her pj's). She had already planned to take the afternoon off for an "end of school" party for the kids so by the time I arrived it was after 10 and she had little choice but to take the entire day off. Ugh!

We immediately drove to Lowes to make extra keys for closer friends and avoid a rerun of this experience. Was at the Kahn's on time and Brady and I enjoyed our afternoon with a special treat at Dairy Queen and a subsequent trip to visit my parents and aunt.

Janice returned home and I quickly loaded my tired body into the car for the trip back. Stormy weather accompanied me on the way making for a stressful ride but got back to Camp Carney in one piece and after a shower to unwind a bit am ready for bed.

My sweet husband enjoyed a day of golf with his buddies....stress free!

Good to be home.....love my sweet kids and grands.....so blessed.....

More Wetness......

Mixed Wednesday.....productive on one hand, disappointing on the other. My early client was a no show and since no 10:30 was scheduled I hit the stores and accomplished my long list of errands before returning to CPC for afternoon appointments.

Thom had a good golf day and we shared our evening.

Thom off to golf today and I set out for Aldi's to grocery shop before the rains came in full force. Wet afternoon and evening .....good day to be home bound.

Yucky forecast.......
